Menifee’s Office of Economic Development Attends Exclusive Site Selector Conference

– Menifee’s Office of Economic Development had the exclusive, invitation-only
opportunity to participate as the sole City representing Riverside County, along with the Southwest
Riverside County Economic Development Coalition (SWEDC), and Riverside County in the 2023
Site Selectors Guild Annual Conference in San Antonio, TX, at the end of March. The conference
consisted of around 400 attendees and featured 56 national site selectors, providing ample
opportunities to make meaningful connections and get site selectors apprised of the abundant
opportunities available in Menifee for the large major corporations they represent in the technology,
aviation, advanced manufacturing, and healthcare industries.

In tandem with industry partners like the SWEDC and Team CA, a state organization made up of
cities and economic development coalitions working together to retain companies in California and
attract new ones for local job creation, Menifee’s economic development team was able to meet
face-to-face with the most sought-after site selectors in the nation.

“We are strategic with our aggressive economic development plan and proud to work hard for the
region to drive job creation and attract new companies to the area, which helps reduce commute
times and increases regional quality of life in the Temecula Valley,” said Menifee Economic
Development Director Gina Gonzalez. “With the guidance of the City’s Comprehensive Economic
Development Plan in conjunction with the City Council’s Strategic Plan to “maintain and drive a
thriving economy”, we continue to diversify the sectors we attract to create long-term financial
stability for Menifee’s local economy.”
