Menifee continues its commitment to efforts to execute its Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) and attract targeted industries that have to begin to cluster within the City. Menifee’s CEDS identified targeted industries to diversify Menifee's local economy through a robust business attraction program. Of these targeted industries, Advanced Manufacturing, Healthcare/Life Sciences, Technology-Oriented Services, and Professional/Business Services have taken a front seat in the City’s attraction efforts and Menifee has already begun to see the fruits of their labor.
In addition to the Healthcare and Technology-Oriented services industries, the Advanced Manufacturing industry encompasses a wide variety of jobs that have the opportunity to flourish within Menifee, such as: medical devices manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals manufacturing, logistics-related manufacturing, defense contractors (aerospace manufacturing), machinery & equipment manufacturing, food & beverage manufacturing and more. Opportunities for incoming targeted industries to expand operations, laboratories, manufacturing operations, and office headquarters, has never been better- as during covid over 6M sq ft of light industrial is coming online- and poised to cluster with like and similar high tech companies like Datatronics, Digital Dental Leaders, Chute Systems, Channel Technologies to name a few.
The following projects have the potential to be home to the next business to call Menifee home, creating opportunities for Menifee’s targeted industries to diversify the local economy.
A portion of the Scott Road Commerce Center, a 700,000 sq ft business park located off Zeiders Road, has begun construction. The 72,800 sq ft building in the north portion of the development project has broken ground and is quickly taking shape.
