Melody Thai Cuisine Joins Historic Menifee (Sun City) Retail Center

The City of Menifee is excited to announce the latest eatery to join the City of Menifee - Melody Thai Cuisine. The casual dining restaurant will offer a modern interpretation of classic Thai dishes using high-quality fresh ingredients. The expansion of Melody Thai Cuisine will be the second location for the restaurant, first in Riverside County, and the first Thai restaurant to come to Menifee. Melody Thai Cuisine is joining the Cherry Hills Plaza, a cherished historic retail plaza in Sun City dating back to the Del Webb development era. A portion was recently acquired by an investment group looking to make improvements to the center.

Melody Thai Cuisine restaurant owner, Pramuan Voecks, selected Cherry Hills as her location as she wanted to bring something new and exciting to the Sun City community, a place she calls home, and offer residents and visitors an experience with entertainment, music, delicious food, and show all that Menifee has to offer. “It is exciting to combine the two things I love most - my love for Sun City Menifee, and my passion for cooking delicious flavorful Thai dishes here in my hometown,” said Voecks. “I cannot wait to invite the community to my “table” to give them a task of what really good Thai food tastes like.”

Voecks references her flagship location, “Jazz Melody Thai BBQ” in Bellflower, California which is known for its delicious and flavorful fresh cuisine, authentic Thai decor, music, and very friendly staff. Voecks has been eager to open a sister location in Menifee while observing the shifting demographics, growth, and diversifying population in recent years. Voecks opened their first restaurant in Thailand at the age of 17, then ventured on to Hawaii, and now resides in Menifee, utilizing their travels and experience to create a unique yet traditional take on Thai cuisine. Melody’s Thai Cuisine plans to open Fall of 2021.

“It’s thrilling to see diverse eateries choosing Menifee as the home for their businesses – especially residents of our city who are choosing to invest here locally,” said Councilmember Karwin, District 1, Councilmember of Sun City. “These dining options are highly requested by our community and in the City’s local restaurant surveys and outreach efforts, and it is refreshing to witness the local investments being made by residents at one of our most historic and cherished retail centers. There are more great things to be seen at the center.”
