Please note, the City of Menifee City Hall is now open to the public. City Hall will continue to be open for business virtually via our "Zero Stop Shop".
The City of Menifee is committed to maintaining continuity of City services while ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of its residents and staff. The City and will be offering select services online and by phone. Please see below for more details:
All previously scheduled meetings/appointments will be rescheduled, conducted via phone, or video conference. Staff will be in contact to provide necessary meeting details for rescheduling meetings/calls.
All walk-in services are suspended. Departments will accept electronic submittals. Please see below for department-specific procedures. If hard copies are required, these will only be accepted by mail. Please note that any submitted hard copy documents/plans will be placed in quarantine for 3 days before being processed/reviewed.
Payment of Fees
Payments will be accepted via credit cards with the appropriate City of Menifee Form, checks via the United States Postal Service or by setting up a deposit account via wire transfer. For credit card payments or deposits via wire transfer, please contact the City’s cashier at (951) 723-3883 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are sending payment via check through the mail, please include copies of all invoices being paid. All credit card and wire transfer payments will be posted within 24 hours of receipt. If paying by check via the mail, because of quarantine procedures and remote work conditions, it may take up to 7 days to process check payments.
Pass-through payments (i.e. Environmental Health) shall be submitted by mail courier.
Field Inspections will continue for all exterior and unoccupied dwelling units/construction. Interior inspections of mechanical/HVAC and water heaters may be conducted via video or submission of photos using a template. Submit permit applications online. Incomplete applications will be emailed back.
All solar plans will be submitted electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org (no exceptions).
Permits, such as tracts and commercial permits, that require the "Permit Issuance Approval Form" must be included with permit submittals. Staff will review along with other departments. Conditions of Approval not met will be identified and returned to the applicant.
Submit building plans electronically via email to email@example.com or through cloud-based systems (i.e. Dropbox), or through flash-drives.
Please note that third-party plan reviews are currently at a three (3) week turnaround for first-time submittals.
Plan Check Corrections
All corrections will be provided electronically via email. All correspondence will be conducted via the applicant.
Certificates of Occupancy
A project requiring Temporary Certificates of Occupancy (TCO) or Certificates of Occupancy (C of O) must submit a completed "Approval Form" via email. Staff will review along with other departments. Conditions of Approval not met will be identified and returned to the applicant. These will be mailed or sent electronically via email to the applicant.
Applicants must notify the Building & Safety department once all applicable fees have been paid. Upon receipt of this notification, the applicant will be provided the License Declaration via email.
Permits and plans may be picked up from City Hall by appointment only. To schedule a pick-up, call (951) 723-3877 or visit our Qless system online.
Code Enforcement staff will focus on cases that pose an imminent health and safety hazard. Complaints may be submitted via the City’s app or by calling (951) 246-6214. Field inspections will continue for all exterior and unoccupied units/construction. Until further notice, no inspections will be conducted at a medical facility (including urgent care). We will help assist in evaluating the need for inspections of residential care facilities, adult daycare, and child care facilities. - Perris Union High School District: Administrative offices remain open. Please call (951) 943-6369 for the collection of fees.
- Romoland Union School District: Administrative offices are operating with limited staff, with school fees accepted on Wednesdays. Please call (951) 926-9244 for more information.
- Menifee Union School District: Administrative offices are open by appointment only. Please email the request for an appointment to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
In the event the district offices discontinue services, the City will issue building permits and ensure payment of school fees prior to any Certificate of Occupancy releases.
